Rove went on to explain he will use the same tactics he perfected in the White House with his own family:

“I look forward to having multiple affairs and then covering them up and lying about them to my wife.  I look forward to scaring my children into eating their vegetables by telling them they’ll die if they don’t and renaming broccoli ‘freedom fruit’.  And I look forward to convincing the public of the necessity of torturing my son.  In short, I just want to be a regular dad again.”

Now that he's home Rove has already been able to start spending a little more time with his family and has cherished those moments.

“Just the little time I’ve been able to share with them lately have been great.  The other day I spilled some red wine on the carpet.  My wife saw it and was very upset.  So I blamed it on our daughter.  We grounded her for a month and my wife is intent on putting her in rehab.  Having an impact on Americans is one thing.  But when you can impact the lives of your own children, that’s really special.”

But insiders question how long Rove can keep up these types of blatant lies and evil schemes until his family starts to catch on.  Rove, however, has great confidence in his abilities:

"I assume my family is as dumb and sheep-like as the American people.  So I can probably continue to manipulate and control them for about 6 years or so before they catch on."
Rove Reveals Reason For Resigning: "I Want To Spending More Time Manipulating My Family"
Bush’s former top advisor says he looks forward to lying to his wife, blackmailing his daughter, and convincing the public of the necessity of torturing his son.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Ever since resigning on August 31, Carl Rove has been characteristically tight-lipped about his reason for leaving.  Many have speculated, but Tuesday the president’s top advisor for the last six years revealed himself why he stepped down:

“These past few years have been tough on my family.  Working at the White House and serving the president demands almost all of my time, and I haven’t been able to give my family the attention they deserve.  Why should the American people be the only ones that suffer as a result of my evil schemes?

“My neglect of my family's need to be manipulated had been put off for too long, and that is why I left the White House."
